The wonderful traits of Aussies includes the rainbow of coat colors they come in –
Blue merle, Red merle, Black tri, black bi, red Tri, red bi – and non approved colors Golden an Party. Plus each color comes in rainbow of shades from dark to light and pattern.
Add the variation in White markings, And the Variety of Eye colors – blue, 1 or 2, marbled, amber, green. each dog is a unique work of natural art.
Blue merle -dark -minimum merle-limited white
Blue merle- light with high white
Black tri – limited white – dark eyes
Black “bi” – no copper
Red tri – light- dark eyes
red “bi” – no copper
red merle -dark -minimum merle-limited white
RED merle- light with high white
Golden – E-Yellow – genetics – unaccepted color – same as in golden retrievers
“party color” – “SP” genetics- white on body – unaccepted- but same as in terriers
all or mostly white – usually associated with “double merle” -risk of likely deaf and vision problems. but this puppy was not- just got the “irish spotting gene” overlaod.. could see/hear fine.
